Terms and Conditions for Dietitian Bulk Billing Services

Eligibility Criteria

Bulk billing services are available for clients who hold a valid Medicare card.

A valid referral from a General Practitioner (GP) under a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan is required to access bulk-billed dietitian services.

Bulk billing may only be available for services covered under the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS).

The initial consultation is eligible for bulk billing only when conducted in-clinic. This offer is not applicable for telehealth or online consultations.

Review sessions are eligible for bulk billing regardless of whether the session is conducted in-clinic or via telehealth.

Appointment Booking

Appointments must be booked in advance to access bulk billing services.

Clients must inform the clinic at least 24 hours in advance if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a cancellation fee.

Service Coverage

Bulk billing applies only to the specific services outlined in the CDM plan. Any additional services requested may incur out-of-pocket costs.

Clients are responsible for ensuring they understand which services are covered under bulk billing.

Consultation length of 20-30 min

Payment

The full cost of eligible services will be billed directly to Medicare.

Clients are not required to make any payment at the time of the appointment for services covered under bulk billing.

Any services not covered by Medicare or the CDM plan will be billed separately, and payment is due at the time of service.

Medicare Claims

Claims will be processed directly with Medicare by the clinic on behalf of the client.

Clients are required to present a valid Medicare card at each appointment.

It is the client's responsibility to ensure their Medicare details are up-to-date and accurate.

Non-Attendance Policy

Non-attendance without prior notice may result in the loss of bulk billing privileges for future appointments.

Repeat non-attendance may lead to the client being discharged from the service.

Privacy and Confidentiality

All client information is kept confidential in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988.

Personal and health information collected will only be used for the purpose of providing dietetic services and billing Medicare.

Termination of Services

The clinic reserves the right to terminate bulk billing services if the terms and conditions are not met.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

The clinic reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

Clients will be notified of any changes to the terms and conditions via email or in person during their appointment.

By accessing our bulk billing dietitian services, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined above.
